General description of the project

Core activity of “Seldenhorgau Kurylys” is related to implementation of special works in emergency situations caused by natural disasters. In 2008 head of the state set a mission to the government to start construction of flood control Koksaraysky Counteregulator on Syrdarya river. The project was included to governmental program on focused industrial and innovative development of the country.

Commissioning of Koksaraiskiy counterregaulator in 2011 allowed for number of important tasks to be completed such as economic, agricultural, ecological and social issues:

• Ensuring safety for populated areas on North-Kazakhstan and Kyzylordinskaya areas which are in a zone of possible floods in Syrdarya pool.
• Regulation of region water balance through accumulated in a pool clean winter water runoff of a 3 bln CBM volume and water resources lost exception by taking it into Arnaiskoe fall.
• Impounding of Small Aral sea
• Increase of winter power energy of Shardarinskiy hydro electric power station on 20-25%
• Improvement of ecological situation in a flood plain and river estuary of Syrdarya river
• Reverse method of 90% flooded territories use by means of water discharge in summer period and its use as inundable fields for feed crops preparation and cattle grazing

“Promstroy-Energo” took part in construction of a large scale object client of which was “Seldenkorgau Kurylys” State Republican Enterprise. Namely, company carried out earth works of 300 thousand CBM volume, construction works on discharge canal of a 500m length and construction of a dam of a  800 m length
